About Me

Hi, I'm Margherita! Licensed Massage Therapist, lifelong animal lover, and someone who knows firsthand what it feels like to need healing.

MY JOURNEY:

My journey into massage therapy began when I injured my back in a fall. As part of my rehabilitation, I received massage therapy and immediately felt the profound benefits it offered.

This experience sparked my interest, and I decided to pursue it further.

I enrolled in The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington, CT in 2015. I was close to finishing the program when life took me in a different direction. One of my instructors mentioned something I had never heard of before: massage for dogs. As someone already working in the animal hospital field, I was immediately captivated. I stepped away from school and went on to get my certification in canine massage, a specialty I have now practiced with love and dedication for almost eight years.

But life, as it often does, kept moving. In 2020, I moved back home to be with my family after my mother had a stroke. What followed were years of watching her - a vibrant, beloved woman - slowly fade. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and my father and I cared for her together until she passed away in November of 2024.

Grief has a way of making you ask the hard questions. Who am I? What do I want my life to look like? What have I been called to do?

The answer kept coming back to massage. To human touch. To healing.

So, I went back to school. And this time, I finished.

A NEW CHAPTER:

I have never felt more certain of my purpose. My years working with animals taught me patience, intuition, and the power of presence. Caring for my mother deepened my understanding of the body, of pain, of what it means to truly need rest and comfort. All of it has made me a better therapist.

I come to this work not just with training, but with lived experience and a deep, genuine desire to help people feel better in their bodies and at peace in their lives.

REIKI & ENERGETIC AWARENESS:

As a Reiki Master, I bring an energetic awareness and intentionality to every session. You may notice grounding holds at the opening and close of your massage. This is simply part of how I work, and how I hold space for your healing. If you feel me pause and stay in one place for a moment, it's intentional. I follow what the body asks for.

ABOUT THE PHOENIX:

You may have noticed my logo: A rising phoenix, vibrant and fierce and full of color. I tried many designs before I found this one. Lotus flowers. Buddhas. The usual wellness imagery. None of it felt right.

The phoenix felt right immediately. Because that is my story. Rising from loss. Returning to purpose. Stepping into a new chapter with everything I've learned along the way.

I hope that when you work with me, you carry a little of that energy too.

CLOSING:

I am so glad you're here. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, stress, recovery from an injury, or simply the beautiful exhaustion of a full life, I would be honored to support your healing.

Let's align. Let's restore. Let's rise.
